NSCD Pty Ltd is a global company owned by Australian costume designer Nigel Shaw.

Nigel Shaw Costume Design and Sydney Costume Workshop are both owned and operated by NSCD Pty Ltd.

The two businesses are now united within one access-controlled, three-and-a-half-hectare creative complex in Leichhardt, Sydney, Australia, forming a more comprehensive and trusted resource for Sydney’s performing arts and screen communities.

Nigel Shaw and his creative team are ushering in a new chapter of creative production, blending NSCD’s highly sought-after specialist equipment and traditional expertise with the studio’s existing infrastructure while designing and crafting exceptional costumes for some of this season’s most anticipated musical theatre productions.

They also create breathtaking, personally designed gowns for red carpet arrivals, opening night celebrations, and after parties at Australia’s most prestigious venues. Their work spans private commissions, celebrity styling, solo performers, production houses, and major musical theatre companies.

The NSCD team collaborates closely with international entertainment brands, Australian productions and large-scale touring shows, most notably Carnival Cruise Line, the world’s largest cruise operator, where Nigel Shaw is a member of the Global Creative Team.

From Sydney, Australia, the NSCD studios manage high-stakes builds and remakes for the Carnival fleet in Australia and internationally, while continuing to deliver beautifully crafted costume design for Australian productions and stages across the globe.
