NSCD Pty Ltd is a global company owned by Australian costume designer Nigel Shaw.

Nigel Shaw Costume Design and Sydney Costume Workshop are both owned and operated by NSCD Pty Ltd.

The two businesses are now united within one access-controlled, three-and-a-half-hectare creative complex in Leichhardt, Sydney, Australia, forming a more comprehensive and trusted resource for Sydney’s performing arts and screen communities.

Nigel Shaw and his creative team are ushering in a new chapter of creative production, blending NSCD’s highly sought-after specialist equipment and traditional expertise with the studio’s existing infrastructure while designing and crafting exceptional costumes for some of this season’s most anticipated musical theatre productions.

They also create breathtaking, personally designed gowns for red carpet arrivals, opening night celebrations, and after parties at Australia’s most prestigious venues. Their work spans private commissions, celebrity styling, solo performers, production houses, and major musical theatre companies.

The NSCD team collaborates closely with international entertainment brands, Australian productions and large-scale touring shows, most notably Carnival Cruise Line.

Nigel Shaw was invited to join Carnival Cruise Line’s global creative team as costume designer, creating and developing costume designs for entertainment across its fleet.

From Sydney, Australia, the NSCD studios manage high-stakes costume builds, remakes and new production work for Carnival ships operating in Australian and international waters, while continuing to deliver beautifully crafted costume design and production for Australian musical theatre productions and stages around the world.
